Heavier model that does not lift as a single piece. The Ally Pro and Ally Sport auto-fold with a remote but the base is one heavy unit; the WHILL C2 disassembles into parts (heaviest about 43 lb); the Buzzaround CarryOn separates into a 46 lb base plus seat and battery.

§ Jazzy Ultra Light range up to 16 miles is with the extended 20Ah battery. The airline-compliant 10Ah battery has a shorter range.

Model identification note: the "Rascal Carbon Cruiser" is a Mega Motion product (not Pride/Jazzy). The "Golden Ally Folding" is matched to the base Golden Ally (GP303); confirm against the exact model on the product page.

TBD means the manufacturer does not publish that spec. Prices are current listed prices and may change; always confirm the price, weight, and battery on the product page. Specs verified from Golden Technologies, Pride Mobility, WHILL, Vive Health, and SpinLife.

Comparison questions, answered

Which folding power wheelchair is the lightest?+

Among these models, the Pride Jazzy Carbon 27X (about 31 lb) and the Golden Cricket LT (about 33 lb) are the lightest, and both use a removable battery to make lifting easier. Carbon-fiber frames in general are the lightest to fold and lift into a car.

Which one is best for air travel?+

The ultralight carbon-fiber models with a removable lithium battery are the easiest to travel with, and the WHILL C2 and Vive models specifically state air-travel or TSA acceptance. Battery rules still vary by airline and battery size, so confirm the requirements with your airline in advance. Call us and we will tell you the exact battery a model uses.

What is the difference between the folding models and the auto-folding Ally models?+

The carbon-fiber models fold by hand and are light enough for one person to lift. The Golden Ally Pro and Ally Sport fold and unfold on their own with a remote, which is easier on your back, but the base is heavier and does not lift as a single piece. Choose hand-folding for the lightest lift, or auto-folding if effortless folding matters more than weight.

Which has the highest weight capacity?+

The Pride Jazzy Carbon HD supports up to 400 lb, the highest in this lineup, while still folding. The Golden Ally Pro and Ally Folding support up to 330 lb. Always choose a capacity comfortably above the user's weight.

Do I need a prescription to buy one?+

No prescription is required to purchase a folding power wheelchair from us. If you plan to seek insurance or Medicare reimbursement, coverage rules and documentation are handled through your provider and plan, but nothing is required to buy from Affinity.

Can I try these before buying?+

Yes. You can try folding power wheelchairs in our Salt Lake City showroom and take one home the same day, and we ship nationwide with free shipping for online orders. Call 801-906-3900 and a specialist will help you compare models for your needs.
