Maxima 4-wheel is the heavy-duty 4-wheel Pride for a 500 lb. rider who wants a wide high-back seat and does not need the scooter to break down. Model SC941 lists up to 5.8 mph, a 53 in. turning radius, and range up to 19.5 miles.
Pride lists an upgraded electronics package on the 4-wheel. HCPCS on the sheet is K0808 Group 2 Very Heavy Duty, which is different from the 3-wheel Maxima's K0802 Group 1 listing. That coding note is for a DME provider to interpret; it is not a promise of coverage.
Weight without batteries is 196.8 lb. and the unit does not disassemble. Plan a ramp, lift, or van. This is not a Go Go and it is not a Victory 10.
A rider who needs 500 lb. capacity, prefers four wheels, and has a way to transport a scooter that stays in one piece.
SC901 is the 3-wheel Maxima if you want a 49 in. turn. SC941 is the 4-wheel for outdoor stability and the Group 2 electronics note. Both share the 22 in. high-back seat and 58 Ah batteries. Do not compare them to travel scooters by weight or loading style.
Width is 27 in. and the turn is 53 in. Seat-to-ground is 22.1 to 24.1 in. This listing is the standard Maxima, not the power-elevating-seat version.
