The Drive STSP450 is a battery-powered sit-to-stand lift with a 450 lb weight capacity. The person must still bear some weight and help stand. This is not a lying-down full-body lift.
This Drive sit-to-stand has dual controls so a failed pendant does not leave someone stuck. The knee pad adjusts. The foot plate comes off for gait work. Charge the battery on or off the lift. Drive alerts if the load exceeds 450 lb or the battery is low. The STSP450 power base adds an LCD, maintenance tracking, and Drive’s lowest listed floor clearance. A sit-to-stand sling is required. The person needs enough trunk and leg strength to rise. Choose a 13240 full-body lift if they cannot stand. Two trained caregivers is the safer home setup. Measure toilet and chair clearance.
The Drive STSP450 is designed for a caregiver transferring someone at or under 450 lb who can still bear weight from a chair or toilet. Choose the Lumex LF2020 if you want Graham-Field’s 400 lb sit-to-stand. Choose the 13240 if the person cannot stand at all.
